Our Quality team oversees all GMP operational aspects of the facility, and to assure compliance with GMPs and Xerimis SOPs. Within the Quality Assurance group there are two functional subgroups:
- Quality Assurance is responsible for assuring that quality standards are maintained in GMP documentation and activities at Xerimis. They perform activities such as pre-executed batch record approval; executed batch record review (auditing) and approval; material specification approval; clinical supplies release; overseeing employee training; managing internal auditing and supplier approval; managing the non-compliant event and CAPA programs; approving change controls and validation documents.
- Quality Control is responsible for controlling product quality throughout the storage and handling of product at Xerimis. Activities include but are not limited to: incoming material sampling and inspection; batch record staging verifications; start-up and in-process checks performed during batch record execution.”
OPERATIONS AND DISTRIBUTION
Operations and Distribution are responsible for the physical execution of almost all activities at Xerimis. Incoming materials must be received into the building, placed into proper storage conditions, and entered into our electronic inventory system. While they are stored here, warehouse personnel ensure proper storage and handling of important investigational drug products and all components and ancillary supplies required to conduct clinical trials. Operations stages materials into each packaging job and performs labeling and packaging activities per batch record instructions. Distribution is responsible all logistics including all domestic and international shipments, developing Distribution Protocols, “Just in Time” labeling activities at the point of shipment, and setting up 3rd party depots for global distribution projects. Finally, Operations also handles all site returns, documentation and reporting of returned material back to our client and final destruction of all supplies when approved by the client.
The Finance Department at Xerimis Inc. serves both internal and external customers. In conjunction with other departments, we prepare and issue invoices to our clients. We are a resource for clients and colleagues who have questions about billing, procurement and purchase order management. We work with our vendors to ensure accurate billing to Xerimis and we process all vendor payments. The Finance Department provides the CEO and upper management with financial reports and they rely on us for assistance with Strategic Financial Planning & Analysis and Treasury & Working Capital Management. The Finance Department ensures Xerimis Inc. complies with all Federal and State regulations on taxes and financial reporting. We design and implement internal controls to ensure all financial operations are conducted ethically and to protect Xerimis’ integrity and good reputation.
Project Management is responsible for working with our clients to ensure that clinical supplies are packaged according to our clients’ specifications while meeting the often-aggressive timelines presented to us. We help design labels including booklet labels for international studies. We may assist with the creation of randomization files and integration with IVR/IWR systems. We also create the most efficient packaging design using custom cartons and labels if needed.
TECHNICAL AND VALIDATION SERVICES
The Technical Services department at Xerimis Inc. is made up of the Validation and IT groups.
The Validation group tests all equipment prior to use in production to ensure that it is installed and is working according to specifications. Ongoing maintenance and calibration of the equipment are additional responsibilities of the Validation group.
The IT group provides tech support for all Xerimis Inc. employees and maintains the IT infrastructure. Additionally, the IT group provides software development support in liaison with outside vendors and Xerimis Inc. end users.
Human Resources at Xerimis focuses on the recruitment of, management of, and providing direction for the people who work here.
Working in HR takes a special type of person who is comfortable solving problems, improving processes, measuring achievements, developing systems, dealing with the organization’s culture, and last, but most importantly, working with the organization’s people. We provide the knowledge, necessary tools, training, administrative services, coaching, legal and management advice to our teams. We also provide talent management oversight that the company needs for successful operation.
