James Gunning

Vice President, Global IT and Security

James Gunning is an accomplished information technology leader with a proven track record of driving digital transformation and cybersecurity initiatives in highly regulated environments.  He currently serves as Vice President, Global IT and Security at Xerimis where he leads the company’s information technology functions across multiple international locations.  In this role James oversees global information technology systems and processes ensuring regulatory compliance and supporting Xerimis’s continued growth and operational success.

Previously, James served as Head of Information Technology at Veranova, where he directed IT strategy, managed a team of 20+ professionals, and delivered major initiatives. His leadership ensured regulatory compliance (GxP), strengthened cybersecurity programs aligned with NIST CSF, and optimized IT operations across multiple international sites.

James began his career at Johnson & Johnson, where he held several senior IT leadership roles, including Director of IT and Associate Director of IT CSV. He was instrumental in developing lean system development approaches, implementing Agile methodologies, and leading global teams to enhance compliance and quality standards.

James holds a BS in Computer Science from Rowan University, a MS in Information Technology from the University of Massachusetts Lowell and an MBA from Saint Joseph’s University.  His passion about leveraging technology to enable business transformation, enhance security, and deliver measurable value are key assets in supporting Xerimis’s mission to deliver innovative and reliable clinical supply solutions worldwide.
