A graduate of Cornell University, with a major in Mechanical Engineering, Tom has devoted his career to all aspects of clinical packaging. He joined SIMIREX Inc. in 1991, ultimately serving as Director of Project Planning. Upon SIMIREX's acquisition by Quintiles Transnational in 1998, Tom remained with Quintiles, continuing as Director of Project Planning, responsible for global clinical trial packaging and supply management.

He later moved on to serve as an Independent Pharmaceutical Packaging Consultant, providing technical support to a wide range of pharmaceutical manufacturers, bio-technology and clinical research organizations.

Now at Xerimis Inc., Tom serves as the Vice President of Project Management. Tom brings valuable experience in dealing with all aspects of clinical trial packaging issues.

Tom McLoughlin is a member of ISPE and DIA. He previously served on the Clinical Materials Committee for the ISPE.
